福田公司潍坊模具厂坐落在美丽的风筝之乡潍坊市坊子区凤凰山开发区，是北汽福田汽车股份有限公司设在潍坊厂区的核心层企业之一，该厂已有建厂五十年的历史，前身是山东省机械厅定点的专业生产厂。一九八四年潍坊市工委规划该厂为工艺专业化模具制造中心，机械部模具专业化生产定点企业，在新的市场形势下，为了提高竞争优势，实行强强联合，九六年八月份并入北汽集团，成为北汽福田汽车股份有限公司汽车模具开发的事业部。五年来的发展变化较大：
企业固定资产由1996年2240万元增加到2002年的7469万元。
模具制造能力由1996年5.5万工时增加到2002年的20万工时。
职工人数由1996年的95人增加到2002年的 245人，其中专业工程技术人员有80多人。
该厂现有固定资产7800万元，用于模具制造的有日本引进的数控三座标铣床一台，西班牙引进的大型五坐标龙门仿形铣床一台（4000*2500），三座标数控加工中心一台（2000*1000），从台湾引进的强力数控龙门铣床一台（32O0*2540），从意大利引进的五轴联动五座标龙门铣床一台（4000*2500），从台湾引进五面体数控龙门铣床HVM502T一台，从美国引进的数控扫描测量机一台（5000*2438*1824）以及国产联高精尖的数控切割机，龙门刨床、研配压床等大型设备 I6 台套，高档计算机图形工作站40多台，在模具制造方面已形成制造汽车覆盖件模具的优势，产品质量达到国内先进水平，多年来为济南汽车制造总厂、北京轻型汽车制造有限公司，昌河汽车制造厂、山东推土机总厂、济南柴油机厂、青岛四方机车厂、东风汽车公司等大型骨干企业的产品更新换代生产制造了各种类型的覆盖件模具及冷冲模具，受到用户的好评，并建立了较稳定的供需关系。近三年先后自主研制开发了BJ1028福田小卡、1049时代轻卡、6350微型客车、1027J阳光轿卡等系列车身车架模具，大量的模具研究开发。积聚了丰富的模具设计制造经验。具备了整体车身所有零部件的模具开发能力，可以满足低、中、高不同质量要求。
我厂紧紧围绕福田公司的战略目标，以技术进步和技术创新为先导，加大在技术方面的投入，近几年先后全国各地招聘了技术人才40多名，聚集了全国模具行业的各类高级人才，使模具棋划了业的各类简级技术人才，使模具厂的技术力迅速提高，从美国引进了UG II软件，装备了具有国际光进水平的CAD/CAM系统，并对该系统滋行了多次升级和二次开发，增加了微机和应用软件。实现了从产品设计CAD、模具设计CAD、模具加工CAM、扫描建模与加工中心之间的光缆数据传输，实现了冲压工艺分析CAE技术，先进的技术，高水平的计算机应用；提高了模具设计质量，缩短了设计时间，2000年被授予国家级CAD/CAM工程应用示范企业称号，2002年承担了"产品及其模具的协同设计与制造"国家863项目计划。
我厂始终坚待以技术进步和提商模具开发水平为重点，现已成熟掌握了环氧树脂模具，陶瓷铸造和钢板焊接等快速制模技术，扫描建模和逆向模具开发技术，数控精细加工技术以及三维实体建模技术。其中扫描建模、逆向工程及三维实体建模技术己处于国内领先水平。2000年5月在第八届上海国际模具技术展览会上我厂设计制造的BJ1028后立柱外板模具，被评为具有国内较高水平的模具，2002年5月第九届上海国际模展上我厂设计制作的F项目整体侧围吊楔修边冲孔模、1022后地板拉延模被评为具有国内先进水平的汽车模具，开发的1049车门系列模具被鉴定为达到国内颂先水平。因我厂在技术创新应用方面的突出成绩20O1年11月被山东省认定为高新技术企业称号。

Around intensely the strategic of the Futian Company, guided by the technology development and innovation, enlarge the investment of technology and engaged 40 technical from nationwide in past few years. The works flocked senior technicians of nationwide mould industry and technology improved rapidly. The works imported American UGII software to equip international advaced CAD/CAM system, also developed and multiply improved this system to add computers and practical software. The works accomplished data cable communication among product and mould CAD design, mould CAM procession, mould-build scanning and procession center, and adopt dumpling handicraft analysis in CAE technology. Advaced technology and high-level computer application improve mould design quality and shorten design period. The works was awarded national title of CAD/CAM engineering practical demonstration enterprises in 2000 and undertake national 863 items project "Product and its mould coordinate design and manufacture" in 2002.
The works pay more attention to technology improvement and miuld development. Now had maturely mastered rapidly mould-build and scanned mould-build counter direction mould development, digital control precise procession and 3-D substance mould build technology of epoxy resin mould, ceramics cast, steel welding etc, scanned mould-build and counter direction engineering and 3-D substance mould-build advanced internal home level.
