柳州五菱汽车有限责任公司模具中心是一个以模具设计、制造为主的模具制造专业公司。中心建筑面积23650平方米，固定资产1.3亿元，现有员工 156人，高级工程师 4人，工程师12人，助理工程师7人，经济师3人`，高级技师2人，技师18人，助理技师12人，中高级技工109人，各种设备194台，其中有美国、意大利产大型激光切割机一台、英国产三座标测量机2台，日本产大型试模生产线1条及一批大精设备。

CAD／CAM在该中心得到了广泛的应用。1994年引进的美国 SGI工作站5台和4套法国 MATRA EUCLID3 CAO／CAM技术，创建了模具计算机辅助设计、辅助制造CAD／CAM集成系统。1999年中心又引进了目前最新的UG Ⅱ模具计算机辅助设计、辅助制造CAD／CAM集成系统。完全实现了模具工艺编制、模具设计、数控编程和数控加工一体化生产。
我中心从柳州五菱汽车有限责任公司1982年生产微型汽车起，就开始设计制造大型
覆盖件模具，迄今已为LZW1010、LZW1010P、LZW1010PS等系列微型汽车加工制造了近千
套模具、检具及焊、夹具。经过近20年的发展已形成了以年生产汽车大型覆盖件模具150
套，检、夹具50套，铸、锻模具90套及纸质餐具模具制造、塑料模具制造为主，冲压件、
大型机械加工、塑料模型制造为辅的生产规模。国家、区、市领导多次到我中心参观指导

The Die & Mould Center is a specialized companry for designing and manufacturing press dies. The data of the center at present are::

The equipment and facility mainly include 5 digit-controlled copy milling machines made from USA and Italy, 4 copy milling machines, 1 big-sized laser cutting machine, 2 three-axis measuring machines, 1 press die trial line imported from Japan.
The technology of CAD/CAM are widely used in the center. There are 5units of SGI work stations from USA, 4 sets technology of MATRA EUCLID3 CAD/CAM from France. The center has established an integration system of CAD/CAM for press die design and manufacturing. In 1999, a latest UGII integration system at present of CAD/CAM was imported again. The integration production has been completely achieved for die processing, designing, digit processing and manufacturing.
The center has been desiging and making big-sized press die from the time of Liuzhou Wuling Motors started to produce minicar in 1982. Until now, more than thousand of press dies, inspection jigs and welding jigs has been made for series model of minicar of LZW1010, LZW1010P, LZW1010PS. By the developing for 20 years, the center has the ability per year to make 150 sets of big-sized press die, 50 sets of ispection and weld jig, 90 sets of cast and forging mould. Simultaneity, the center also make plastic die and mould, press parts, and big-sized machinery parts.
